Great herding lesson with Hunter today.  He is starting to gage his speed and distance and rate his sheep on his own; and he is also learning the words that go with the sides.  Great dog.
Good stock makes all the difference.  The sheltie was zoom but this is his third time on sheep.
Once he tired of circling, he began to steady up and take his directions.  That's enough for him for now.  
We have a fun day at Shadowbar on Saturday and all day, there will be various stations set up for people to practice Rally O and obedience, barrel racing, scent hurdle racing, and relay sprints, plus obedience and draft dog work.  A long day, but it runs itself if I get it all organized.
It will be fun to see everyone again.  Hope the weather holds. 
Tomorrow is herding in the afternoon, but the barn roof needs new roofing so it comes first...
