Today we are braving the -20C temperatures and going to visit some good friends at Cottonwood Senior Centre in Claresholm, to discuss the rehoming of their 8 year old wonderful golden retriever, Bess.
I had the opportunity to show Bess in Rally and Obedience and it was quite a ride.
Bess is a high energy dog who really needs to perform so in addition to being a personal assistance dog to her owner, Lee, she travelled to dog shows with me and entertained the crowds with her amazing Rally obedience skills.  In all the time I showed Bess in Rally,  she was the High in Class dog in all her classes except for one time.
It is with regret that we find ourselves in a position where Bess needs to find a new home.  And it really should be with a person who enjoys performance sports and long walks with dogs.  Bess is great with dogs, cats, kids and adults.  She is crate trained and is a great traveling companion.
