Little Dog..... Big Attitude

No Herding Today

No, we are not sissies.  It's just that Lore has too much snow for herding with Cardigan Corgis.  They would be pushing snow over their front chests with every move.  We have herded in cold weather, wet weather, and snowy weather, but truly, to be sensible and fair, today would have been an exercise in futility.  It would be entertaining as hell, and we could probably make a pretty good video for America's Funniest Home Videos with the corgis plowing through the snow leaving little tunnels or furrows as they went and the sheltie stopping every 20 feet to clean the snowballs from his feet, legs and stomach areas!  My winter boots are not very high, so  I would have had to dig out the gaters from X-country ski days or try running around in gumboots....lol.

Just the thought of it makes me want to have another coffee and forget about it.

And to think that Shar and I just bought six new sets of bar jumps and we were about to set out some jumps and tunnels and have some fun in the agility ring.... NOT likely!

So we groomed dogs and cleaned house and stayed inside.....

View from our deck this evening

Of course, this being Sunday, all the weekenders were making their way up Highway 22 north to the city, and, of course, the ambulance, police and rescue units were kept busy as usual.

Ask me why I don't take the winter tires off my vehicles until the end of April and sometimes not until Mothers' Day.
